We started our journey into pizzas working at The Hearth Pizzeria and Bakehouse in Lewes, East Sussex. Along the way we learnt how to make our own dough, pick and choose the right ingredients and how to cook a banging pizza! We even went so far as to build our own pizza ovens. Over the last decade we have opened and cooked countless pizzas at festivals, events and more. Pizza is widely popular, but there is a big gap between any old pizza from a van compared to one that is authentically made with real heart. 
 

 

We owe so much to the mentorship of masterbaker Michael Hansen, our boss at The Hearth and dear friend. He has had a relationship with wheat and a respect for the process for over 50 years.  It is with his vast experience and tutorship that we have gained so much and the respect for the true art of pizza.
